is a compact, indoor/outdoor
thermometer that can tell you the current time, indoor and outdoor
temperatures, plus minimum and maximum temperature reached, and the time
of occurrence. |

| The
La-Crosse WS9117U
is 5 inches tall, silver in color, with black trim. The unit
may be hung on a wall, or can stand on its own with a detachable stand. |

| The
WS9117U
with clock has a three line display. The top line displays
time. The second line displays indoor temperature. The
third line displays the temperature transmitted from a remote
location by the included TX6U wireless remote. Up to two
optional additional remote transmitters may be used to monitor
additional remote locations, up to 80 feet away, selectable by
pressing the "CH" button. Recorded minimum and maximum
temperature values for the local and each remote location (since
last reset) may be displayed by pushing the Min/Max button.
Time of occurrence is displayed for each outdoor minimum and maximum
temperature.
Time may be displayed
in 12 hour format with a PM indicator, or 24 hour format.
Temperatures may be displayed in either Fahrenheit or Celsius.
Two different remote transmitters are available for the WS-9117U. The
TX6U (the one included with the station) reports outdoor temperature
only and has no display. The TX3UP senses temperature
via a waterproof probe on a 10-foot (3-meter) wire for use in pools,
spas, soil, etc., and has a display.

 |  La Crosse Technology TX3UP Remote Sensor with Display and Waterproof Probe
The La Crosse Technology TX3UP temperature sender has a waterproof probe and a temperature display on the sender. The La Crosse Technology TX3UP may be used to monitor soil temperature, pool temperature, hot tub temperature, freezer or refrigerator temperature, or may be placed indoors with the probe routed outdoors through a window for extreme climates. The TX3UP uses 2 AAA batteries.

The La Crosse Technology TX6U is the more common remote temperature only sensor for the La Crosse Technology weather instruments. The La Crosse Technology TX6U does not have a display of it’s own. The TX6U uses 2 AA batteries, and is excellent for use for extended periods of operation in cold temperatures. In harsh climates, the alkaline batteries in the TX6U may be replaced with Lithium batteries for extended low temperature operation.
